The RideLondon-Essex 100 is back again for 2024! Starting on the Embankment the route heads out to Essex before returning to London for a grand finish on Tower Bridge. There are three options available, 30 mile, 60 mile and the most popular 100 mile. The course is very flat and fast, a lot of fun, and one of only a few events that are on fully closed roads with no cars.
If you haven't signed up already, general entry is still available here:
https://www.letsdothis.com/gb/checkout/ticket?eventId=193788&utm_organiser_id=29443
Closer to the day and once everyone knows their wave and start time, I'll make a spreadsheet so that everyone can find people riding a similar pace and link up at the start.

https://www.facebook.com/events/929829165155605/#cycling #raceI've never ridden in the Yorkshire dales. By all accounts it's meant to be superb. Forget 'Ride London' ahem.. 😆 Anyway will be looking at entering 'The Challenge' (136.3km) There's a longer option and a shorter option too. Will mostprobs jump on a train up to Ilkley on the Saturday (29th) and return on the Sunday (30th post race). 2hrs12 to Leeds from Kings X and then 27mins to Ilkley station. You have to reserve your bike on the train so would be looking to buy train tickets as soon as they are out. Like 3 months out or something.Accommodation looks about £100 B&B but would happily share a twin if that was an option. Race is £45.Be great if a few were keen.https://whiteroseclassic.org.uk/These are some of the roads rode by the Tour de France in 2014. It'snot flat round there btw 😆
🍻🎉🚴
Every Friday in July, MAAP puts on a night of Summercross at Herne Hill velodrome. Including (some) mud and (lots of) beers, come on down to either have a go at racing or just have a few drinks and support your fellow Chasers. The atmosphere is great and it's a fun evening, a lot of us went down to a couple of the events last year.
The Summercross series is super friendly and is a great opportunity for newcomers to Cyclocross (CX), to have a go at racing in a friendly atmosphere. People race on all sorts of bikes, including mountain bikes and you can even rent from Herne Hill themselves. If you'd like to get some practice in HH even offer practice classes, more information can be found here:
https://www.hernehillvelodrome.com/offroad
We'll choose one of the Fridays closer to the date to make a proper social out of, so stay tuned, but this will most likely be the first or second Friday, so keep the dates free!

The John Bornhoft Memorial Hill Climb is hosted by Kingston Wheelers CC and is the clubs annual open event hill climb of Leith Hill. A great opportunity to test your legs against one of our favourite Surrey climbs. More information on the event can be found here:

You asked for Hill climbs and so here we are, our official Chasers Hill Climb day out:
URBAN HILL CLIMB, SWAIN’S LANERide up the infamous Swain’s Lane in the heart of North London on closed roads. The only hill climb within Greater London and an iconic event on the UK circuit.
The climb averages 8% and maxes out at 20% over 900m of tarmac, making it one of the only places within Central London for hill climb specialists to test their mettle.
Racers, families, folding bikes, E-bikes and cargo bikes all shoulder to shoulder battling up the 20% gradients. Whether you’re racing, riding for fun or simply spectating, this is an event with an incredible atmosphere and a great day out for all.

We'll make a day out of this and get planning closer to the event, but save the date for now!
