A brief summary of each session is provided below, together with links to dedicated webpages.

  • Sunday Long Run: A morning run of between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, with a specific marathon focus during the winter and early spring, and a more social feel over the summer months. Details can be found here: Sunday Long Run
  • Monday Club Run: A run of eight to 10km with a dedicated novice group (nobody gets left behind - guaranteed) and a variety of pace groups to cover all range of abilities. A good session to attend if you're new to the club. Details can be found here: Monday Club Run
  • Track: A great session to build up your speed and bring down those PBs. Details can be found here: Tuesday Track
  • Hills: A Wednesday session, working on endurance and power, just as applicable to road racing as XC.  The sessions vary week to week, and include long gradual hills, as well as shorter sharper reps. Never be intimidated by hills again! Wednesday Hills
  • Tempo: Laps of Battersea Park have never been so good! A session focussed on building stamina and speed endurance. Please refer to the club's Facebook forum for details of each week's session.  Details can be found here: Thursday Tempo
With the race calendar busy year round, we tend to arrange weekend training sessions on an ad-hoc basis. Keep an eye on the Club's Facebook forum and you'll not be short of options - whether it's a last minute race entry, a trip to the North Downs for some scenic trail running (and cake!) or maybe a long social run along the Towpath followed by brunch, you'll certainly be fitter and happier by the end of it!

Disciplines

We participate in a wide range of running disciplines, including:

  • Road Running: Road running is where we started and it continues to be the main focus for the majority of our runners. Outside of marathon season, we participate in the South of England Athletics Association Road Relays and the Surrey Road League. Details can be found here: Road Running
  • Cross Country: We love XC and there are few events on the calendar which attract bigger turnouts than these. The Chasers are known for their great team spirit and there's always plenty on display at these events. Details can be found here: Cross Country
  • Trail Running: We're one of the few running clubs in London with a dedicated and rapidly growing trail section. If you fancy leaving the big smoke behind and sampling some of the country's finest scenery with some great people then this is for you. Details can be found here: Trail Running
